This is one of my most favorite photographs: me and my grandfather sometime around 1970 on his farm in Goltry, Oklahoma. Survivor of the Oklahoma dust bowls, he was an incredible man. As an accomplished farmer and mechanic he could grow, raise, fix or build anything in the middle of nowhere relying only on his own hands, hard work and ingenuity. As a small child I was in awe of his talents and skills which were surpassed only by his gentleness and kindness.

That's so CUTE!
That is an awsome picture. Definately a keeper. :)
i love old photographs...this one is definitely a work of art.
I wish I had a picture of me and my grandfather...
Very nice to have something to cherish.
Hi, first time visitor. Great picture. Unfortunately my grandpas were both deceased before I was born. My dad got married late in life. I know I missed out on a lot of stories and memories.
That is a wonderful photo - you definitely should have it framed and passed down from generation to generation...
That is a GREAT photo. I hope you have the negative. It still amazes me that people survived the depression.
Actually, when I found the photo I had a negative professionally made so that I could make copies and a blowup. (This was a while ago, just before scanners became a more practical alternative.)
Excellent picture!
that is really great!
me, I'm totally into the whole family history thing and over time have gathered a good amount of family photos (most are copies or scans only however) - they are great to have and each one is special.
Back to your photo -- I think this one is especially special as in it, even as a photograph, you seem to just radiate with love and admiration of him - you even stand as if you want to be just like him. That's totally awesome!
That is precious. Talk about wholesome family.
