It is the soldier, not the reporter,
who has given us freedom of the press.
It is the soldier, not the poet,
who has given us freedom of speech.
It is the soldier, not the campus organizer,
who has given us the freedom to demonstrate.
It is the soldier, not the lawyer,
who has given us the right to a fair trial.
It is the soldier, who salutes the flag,
who serves under the flag,
and whose coffin is draped by the flag,
who allows the protester to burn the flag.
- Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC
On this Veterans Day, my words are far too insufficient to express the level of gratitude I have for each of America's 25 million living veterans. I can only say, inadequately: Thank You.

Love your site. Love that poem. Will definately be back.
Didn't Zell Miller say that at the Republican National Convention?
Yes, I believe Zell did say that during his awesome speech but it has been around a very long time so, technically, he does not get credit.
Posted the same poem and pic on my Veterans day post. I guess great minds think alike.
