Something Wrong with this Picture

269littlegirl.jpg

I've had this cellphone pic sitting around for a while...bugging me.

Is it me? Or, is there something wrong with this picture? A little girl who looked to be just three or four years old, no higher than my SUV fender, riding her bike with training wheels...alone. I saw her ride down three different streets before finally turning into a driveway. She was by herself the whole time and I never saw any sign of a parent or anyone looking after her. I'll just add this one to my list of things I'll never understand.

When I was a kid, and now when I'm a teenager, I would bikeride alot. An insane amount. I loved moving, and I still do. I don't own a car because I like biking so much. When I was a child and still using training wheels, I has memorized my neighborhood. It's not that hard when you ride around it so much. Some kids act more like adults and don't need supervision.

  2. Well, my opinion is that young children need supervision at all times. I'd be afraid of a child snatcher. Call me a pessimist, but I'd be too afraid to lose my child to let her ride alone.
