And Merry Christmas to All!
"'Is the Christmas spirit still alive?' some ask. Well, you bet it is. The Christmas spirit of peace, hope, and love is the spirit Americans carry with them all year round, everywhere we go."
Ronald Reagan - Radio Address to the Nation, December 24, 1983.

That just might me one of the cutest pictures yet.
And I haven't said too much about Drew's looks as I think he's a great combination of both Don and Mary but in this picture he really looks like Don as a kid!
Awesome Picture!!!
I thought this whole site was a caricature of American nationalism at its worst. And in fact, no, you are real, which is... interesting. Sort of.
It's not particularly shocking that someone, "in France for the last 25 years" isn't so keen on American nationalism. I wouldn't be either if the country I lived in was a pathetic festering pit of failed socialism and short-sighted national policy. A little jealous schuey?
France's failed socialist system of outrageous entitlements and anti-business policies is crumbling and cannot sustain itself. France has attempted to slow the decline by selling out its culture and heritage to unrestrained immigration of people who refuse to assimilate, having no intention of becoming French. France, a once great nation, not only will never see the better days again, it will likely someday cease to even resemble the France of yesterday. Given this reality, schuey could either fight or give in and declare nationalism an abomination. Schuey simply followed French tradition:
The French government recently announced that it has raised its terror alert level from "Run" to "Hide." The only two higher levels in France are "Collaborate" and "Surrender." The raise was precipitated by a recent fire which destroyed France's white flag factory, thereby disabling its military.
How handsome is he! Definitely growing up.
sadly i'm not french. I don't feel french. Sadly for you, I have an american passport, and I'm still very happy to be american. America stands for values I strongly believe in. And sadly these values are fading away.
Mon ami, je n'ai jamais dit que vous étiez Français. (My friend, I never said that you were French.) In fact, I was very careful to only quote the fact that your profile says you have been in France for 25 years...the point being that I believe the French have rubbed off on you.
And, I am wholly ambivalent as what passport you hold. Freud, though, would have a field day with your double use of "sadly" when discussing both your nationality and passport.
We agree that America stands for values we strongly believe in and that these values are fading away. I wonder though if we're thinking of the same values?
I still don't understand your criticism of this site as a "caricature of American nationalism." Pride in a great nation and beautiful flag, respect for those that have died and are serving under that flag, appreciation for all that America has given and continues to give and do for the world and distaste for disproven liberal hypocrisy...if that makes me a caricature of American nationalism, then add that to the list of things I am proud to be called.
