Never Argue On YouTube
I completely wasted nearly 30 minutes today arguing with idiots on YouTube. I can't believe I got suckered into such a waste of time. The level of intellectual discourse there so approaches zero that it would not be inaccurate to say that it does not exist. Besides the typical name calling, the comments included factual allegations that were a simple Google search away from being shown as objective inaccuracies and the logical leaps that people took from given premises were utterly fallacious. Never again! Is there an internet for adults only?

Just because someone disagrees with you does not make them an idiot.
BigStick, you are absolutely correct. However, these people both disagreed with me and were idiots. As I pointed out, they engaged in sophomoric name calling, made ridiculously false factual allegations which they themselves could have easily discovered were false with the least bit of research and utilized fallacious reasoning to reach conclusions that didn't follow from their premises even if their premises were true, which they weren't. In other words...they were idiots. I had never before entered into an extended argument on YouTube and I have not since...and plan to keep it that way.
The same thing happens to me with youtube, they say ND sucks and Miami is better and USC is better, but with 5 minutes of reasearch you can prove ND is one of the most accomplished football teams
