Pumpkin Town 2010
Today we made our annual visit to Pumpkin Town!
Drew, Landon and Will are getting in the Halloween spirit.
Landon was first up with the annual lifting of the pumpkin. Despite a heroic effort, though, the pumpkin just wouldn't budge.
Will successfully got his pumpkin off the ground but it didn't last long and he quickly resorted to rolling it around to prove his dominance over the gourd. (Note, I actually looked up whether a pumpkin is a gourd. In doing so, I learned far more than I intended about squash, gourds, and pumpkins. The best line: "pumpkins are a diverse, taxonomically complicated group." As with many things, there is no simple answer, but suffice it to say, pumpkins are gourds.)
Drew conquered the lifting of the pumpkin!
