While we set a record for putting up Christmas lights on the house by November 26 and getting the tree pretty early for us on December 8, we've been too busy to put lights on the tree until tonight. And, of course, before we could even start that project, Daddy had to try out another camera trick.
All the boys held incredibly still while I swung Christmas tree lights around them during a long exposure. Drew and Will then took turns pressing the shutter button.
All and all, not too bad if I do say so myself. Each boy turned into a living Christmas tree.
However, the best part of the evening was when Drew and Will, all on their own, filled in breaks between putting light strands on the Christmas tree by playing Christmas song duets on the piano. While they had messed around playing together before, they had never done it for so long. It was AWESOME! It was the most we'd ever seen/heard them play just for the sake and enjoyment of playing. Not as practice or because they had to but just because they and the people listening were enjoying it. It really was a beautiful thing.Posted by Don |
